Meal Eaten: Breakfast/Brunch Lunch Dinner
Comments:
Like any good Italian restaurant, Il Sorrento brought us some garlic bread
to start our meal. The waiter brought three versions of bread for us to try.
Neither of us was particularly fond of the bread with the spinach pesto. I began
my meal with a baked eggplant appetizer. It was good but the eggplant was a
bit soggy and overdone. Dan chose the overdressed caesar salad.
For the main meal, I dined on lamb chops with mint sauce. It was quite good
and the potatoes were excellent. Dan had grilled salmon. It was well-prepared
but the portion was too small. My dessert mousse was essentially jello pudding
which would have been good if that had been what I wanted. Dan had a sambucca.
It was one of the best he had ever had. The waiter roasted the coffee beans
before adding them to the rest of the mixture. He topped it all off with a beautiful
before placing it before Dan.
Wines/Beverages Sampled:
Again, we're not really sure what we had because
what we ordered isn't quite what we received.
