Meal Eaten: Breakfast/Brunch Lunch Dinner
Comments:
I really like fried calamari and have it just about whenever I can. Tonight was no exception. I spotted the fried calamari on the appetizer menu and had to have it. It rated high on the Michelle calamarimeter.
For dinner, Dan had the Talapia Empanada. It was a talapia filet served with a mango salsa. The meal also included mashed potatoes and grilled vegetables. He thought the meal had a good combination of flavors and the grilled vegetables were the best he ever eaten. I had the Cordero Asado. It was a honey and pomegranate glazed fire roasted baby rack of lamb. It was served with mashed potatoes and a goat cheese flan. The lamb chops had to be the best I've ever eaten. They were so tender and the glaze was just wonderful. I would definitely come back for the lamb. The flan wasn't to my liking.
We shared a chocolate sherry torte for dessert. It was good and the homemade whipped cream made it even better.
Special Notes: La Terraza does have a separate tapas menu. The chef came around during the evening and asked every table how the food was and how they were enjoying the evening. This was nice. The service was excellent but the decor was a little plain and it was a bit pricey.
