Portabello Mushroom Sandwhich




This is the Diet Secret's  answer to the hamburger.  In a way it really does tasted better and with no greasy after-taste.  It's a quick meal and also perfect for cookouts.

Mix together the olive oil, red wine vinegar, garlic, pepper and salt.  Pour over the mushroom cap (stem side up).  Make sure the entire cap is covered.  Let the mushroom marinate for at least 10 min.  Grill or fry on the stove until browned and tender (6-8 mins.)

Stack lettuce, tomato,  mushroom and dressing on a bun just like a hamburger.  I suggest applying the dressing directly on top of the mushroom (stem side up).
