Garam Masala can be found at Middle Eastern or Indian food stores. You can make this yourself but I haven’t tried that yet. Garam Masala is my favorite spice. It is actually a mixture of cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, coriander, cumin and black peppercorns. Also sometimes fennel, nutmeg, mace, and saffron. Expect this not to be cheap. I like to have it around as I also use it in the aromatic hummus. Dallas folks can find it at Worldwide foods on lowest Greenville and many grocers now carry it in the spice isle.
