We sampled lots of fine food in this part of the world. One big thing we noticed about service in Thai restaurants is that once your food has been served the server generally doesn't come back to the table until you look like you are absolutely done. It could sometimes even be difficult to get the bill. If you are wanting of anything, you will have to locate the serve to help you. The first couple of times this happened we thought it was bad service until we realized it's the way things are done here. I guess they just want you to enjoy your meal in peace.
